  1. Reading with interest your uptaeds on PCCs. Perhaps you could let us all know how we can get information about Independent candidates as there is precious little on the net. For example, what does worked in the community actually mean? I am opposed to your view that Independents should not be in the mix as surely the whole point of the change by the government was suppose to be to remove the policing from the claws of political beast and give it back to the community. Surely there would be a huge conflict of interest due to for example, the budget if a political policy would be to curb it and as a PCC you need to fight for it to be larger. I also feel very strongly that candidates should have worked with people on the front line at some point and not just be elected because they had photo shoots with people who have actually worked for the community. Ofcourse the really good candidates will never emerge as they can’t afford to campaign-what a farce it is turning out to be!
